Lovers, Troublers & Friends!

Welcome to all newcomers and thank you to everyone who has stayed. This is truly a glowing & growing community and we can feel the tailwind you have given us in 2023!

In 2023, our main focus was developing the Love Letter Service. We have expanded our range so that you will find a surprise in your letterbox every month. We want each letter to be a new experience every time you open it, while being a recurring source of comfort and fun at the same time.

We hope that we can live up to this goal, and the many positive responses tell us that we are on the right track!

This year was a whirlwind of work-and-travel. We finished *two* books, celebrated one release and did a small European tour, where we met so many great people.

We have introduced the new category of Comic Smackdown, which brings us endless joy! We are considering other ways to fulfill our overwhelming desire to compete. It’s currently a draw, but it won’t stay that way. Stay tuned to see what we come up with for 2024 so that we may proclaim a clear winner!!!!

You’ve seen dozens of Early Comics and our high resolution artworks have been downloaded hundreds of times. Another great novelty of this year: We’ve started welcoming each new patron with a short personal video greeting. Our short travel journal behind-the-scenes posts are also great fun to us and now we’re asking you:

We’re now off for a couple of days but can’t wait for 2024 to deliver the next chapter of War and Peas World!

Before getting too much into details, here’s a run-down on our new stuff:

  • We have 100 signed copies of our just-released French book “Salut la Terre” here. This is probably the only batch we’ll sell ourselves!

  • The WSDT Collab is preorder-only – to ensure sustainable production. The screenprinting starts after the preorder has ended so everything will take a while. The design is based on one of our Love Letter poems!

  • We have a postcard set now in the shop!
  • We’re starting to list Elizabeth’s solo project FUNGIRL in the shop as a War and Peas brand. Our patrons got the chance to get the Vulva Viking book early so were sold out at the moment. But there’s more on its way and you can get a notification once it’s back!
