Why We Don’t Have a Substack (or any other mailing list service)
Platforms come and go and we find it quite amusing that it takes a tech company to reveal to us the beauty of mailing lists.
Mailing lists are – alongside RSS feeds – one of the most beautiful inventions of the Internet. They establish a direct line between author and reader, without intermediaries, moderators or problematic algorithms.
We don’t need a company that has the primary interest of increasing profits to help us with that. Even if it produces some innovations and temporary advantages, we want to maintain a direct line. We are represented on enough platforms and we have been through the enshitification cycle often enough to know that our own mailing list is the best option. A mailing list that doesn’t cost us or our readers any money and is updated as often as we want.
That’s why thousands of readers trust our mailing list and if you are convinced by our comics & mission, you can sign up here. You’ll get new comics and updates straight to your inbox!
Enter your email address to subscribe and to receive our new comics. Jonathan and Elizabeth solemnly swear to only deliver high quality content to your inbox.
