Did you know that there are actually two people behind War and Peas? Jonathan and Elizabeth here and we’d like to talk about something very important to us.

Our mission for over ten years has been to make comics that make people laugh. Our journey started at a small art school in the quaint town of Saarbrücken, when we met and discovered that working together gave us the unique feeling of being understood.

 

Speaking of time

In this last decade, we’ve created dozens of characters and hundreds of strips. There’s the powerful Slutty Witch warding off unwanted suitors – every night is Girl’s Night. A thirsty scientist who wants to believe. And the much-loved couple Bob & Bob, who have witnessed the sinking of the Titanic and seem to live forever (tell us your secret).

We’ve published a book that has been released in four different languages. Our strips are being translated on the good ol’ web into more than seven languages. We know it looks like big business. But here’s the thing: we don’t make a lot of money with publishing books or creating free content on social media.

That’s why we rely on about 1330 people who support us financially on Patreon. However, that’s only 0.005 % of our followers. Imagine if that group of supporters would grow from 0.005 % to 0.1 %? Or even 1 %.
